Effective date: 14 September 2026

These terms govern bookings and services provided by Exhale TRE Provider at 866 Barnard Street, Elardus Park, Pretoria. They explain the booking process, payment and package rules, client responsibilities, privacy practices and the nature and limits of the services. Please read them before booking.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By booking an appointment, purchasing a package or attending a session, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and the Exhale Privacy Notice. Acceptance of booking terms does not replace informed consent for a specific therapy. Where required, you will be asked to complete an intake and informed-consent process before treatment begins.

If you do not understand any part of these terms or the proposed service, please contact Exhale before booking or giving consent.

3. Services

Exhale currently offers TRE®, CranioSacral Therapy and MedWave™ Red-Light Therapy, including introductory and follow-up sessions where applicable. Service descriptions, durations and current prices appear on the Exhale website or Setmore booking page.

Services are provided for wellbeing and supportive purposes within the practitioner’s training and scope. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, emergency care, prescribed treatment, psychotherapy or care from an appropriately registered healthcare professional. No particular result, cure or outcome is guaranteed.

4. Bookings and confirmations

Appointments may be requested through the Exhale website, Setmore, WhatsApp, telephone or another method approved by Exhale. A booking is confirmed only when confirmation is issued by Exhale or Setmore.

Clients must provide accurate contact information and select the correct service. Exhale may contact a client before confirming or proceeding with a booking where screening, suitability or service clarification is required.

Online availability may change. An appointment shown online is not guaranteed until the booking has been completed and confirmed.

5. Prices and payment

Prices displayed at the time of booking apply unless an obvious pricing error has occurred. Exhale will notify the client of any material error before providing the service.

Payment is due before the session or on  the day. Accepted payment methods are: EFT / Card / Cash / Online Payment. The client is responsible for any bank charges or payment-provider fees charged directly to the client.

Where a payment fails or remains outstanding, Exhale may withhold confirmation, pause future bookings or require settlement before another appointment is accepted, subject to applicable law.

6. Prepaid packages

Packages must be paid in full upfront. A package is activated on the date of the first session and all included sessions must be used within three months of that first session, unless Exhale agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different outcome.

A package purchase does not automatically reserve every session. The first appointment may be booked through Setmore where available. Remaining appointments must be arranged through WhatsApp or directly with Exhale. Exhale will maintain the official record of sessions used and remaining.

Package sessions are valid only for the service or combination of services stated at purchase. TRE® and CranioSacral package sessions may be combined only if Exhale has expressly confirmed this in writing.

Packages are personal to the purchasing client. A client may request a transfer to another person by arranging it directly with Alouise. Any transfer is subject to Exhale’s prior approval and does not extend the package validity period. All sessions must still be used within three months of the first session taken under the package.

Unused or partially used packages are non-refundable except with prior arrangement and within the 3 month time period from when purchased. Any refund, credit, extension or cancellation will remain subject to the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable South African law. Exhale will not apply a policy that unlawfully removes a client’s statutory rights.

7. Cancellation and rescheduling

Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Changes may be made through the permitted Setmore link or by contacting Exhale.

For cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments, Exhale may charge the full fee / deduct one package session, except where applicable law or exceptional circumstances require a different outcome.

If Exhale must cancel or reschedule an appointment, the client may select another available time. Any amount paid for a service that Exhale cannot provide will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the client’s chosen lawful remedy.

8. Late arrival

Late arrival may shorten the session so that later appointments are not delayed. The normal fee may still apply. If the remaining time is insufficient to provide the service safely or meaningfully, Exhale may reschedule the appointment and apply the late-cancellation policy, subject to reasonable discretion and applicable law.

9. Client information and health screening

The client must provide complete and accurate information relevant to the safe provision of the chosen service. This may include pregnancy, current health conditions, medication, recent surgery, injuries, implanted devices, light sensitivity or other information reasonably requested during screening.

Clients should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional if they are uncertain whether a service is suitable for them. Exhale may decline, pause, modify or postpone a service where information supplied indicates that further medical guidance or practitioner assessment is appropriate.

10. TRE eligibility and safety requirements

Exhale does not provide TRE® where any of the following applies:

  • You are pregnant and have not practised TRE® before.
  • You have active cancer. TRE® may be considered only once you have been in remission for at least six months.
  • You are living with HIV or AIDS.
  • You are currently using or dependent on illicit or non-prescribed drugs, or you have been free from such drug use for less than 12 consecutive months.

These are Exhale’s service-eligibility requirements and do not constitute medical diagnosis or advice. Exhale applies these requirements as a precaution within its scope of practice. Where appropriate, Exhale may request written clearance from a suitably qualified healthcare professional or may decline or postpone a session following an individual suitability assessment.

11. Informed consent and participation

Before a service begins, Exhale will explain the nature of the service, the proposed approach and any material considerations reasonably relevant to the client. The client may ask questions and may withhold or withdraw consent at any time.

The client agrees to follow reasonable instructions and to tell the practitioner promptly about pain, distress, dizziness, discomfort or any unexpected response. The client may request a pause or end the session at any point.

Consent is voluntary and service-specific. Booking an appointment alone does not mean that the client has waived the right to further information or consent discussions.

12. Possible responses and aftercare

Individual responses vary. Depending on the service and the individual, a client may experience temporary tiredness, emotional activation, muscle sensations, sensitivity or other short-term responses. Exhale will provide reasonable aftercare guidance relevant to the service.

A client experiencing severe, persistent or concerning symptoms should seek appropriate medical assistance. In an emergency, contact the relevant emergency service. Exhale does not provide emergency medical or crisis services.

13. Minors and legal capacity

Clients must be at least 18 years old to book independently. A parent or legal guardian must make the booking and provide consent for a client under 18. Subject to prior discussion with the parent or guardian and an individual suitability assessment, TRE® is available from eight years old, CranioSacral Therapy may be provided from infancy, and MedWave™ Red-Light Therapy is available from two years old. Exhale may require the parent or guardian to attend or remain available during the session.

14. Privacy and personal information

Exhale processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and the Exhale Privacy Notice. Information may include contact details, booking history, payment information, intake answers, consent records, session notes and health information voluntarily supplied or reasonably required for service provision.

Exhale uses this information to manage appointments, assess service suitability, provide services, communicate with clients, keep appropriate records, process payments, meet legal obligations and protect legitimate interests. Health information is treated as sensitive and access is restricted to authorised persons with a genuine need to use it.

Setmore and approved payment, communications, hosting or technology providers may process limited information on Exhale’s behalf. Some service providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Exhale will address cross-border processing in its Privacy Notice and use appropriate contractual, legal and security safeguards where required.

Exhale will take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against loss, damage, unauthorised access, misuse or unlawful processing. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Records will be retained for 3 years and securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required, subject to legal, professional and operational obligations.

Clients may contact the Information Officer or privacy contact to request access to or correction of their personal information, object to certain processing, request deletion where legally available, or raise a privacy complaint. Clients may also approach the Information Regulator of South Africa.

15. Communications

Exhale may send confirmations, changes, cancellations, reminders and service-related messages using the contact details supplied. These operational communications are necessary to manage a booking and are separate from direct marketing.

Marketing messages will be sent only where permitted. A client may opt out of marketing without affecting necessary appointment communications.

16. Photographs recordings and testimonials

Exhale will not use a client’s photograph, recording, testimonial, health story or identifying information for marketing without separate, specific consent. Refusing marketing consent will not affect access to services.

17. Conduct and safety

Clients and practitioners must treat one another respectfully. Exhale may stop or refuse a session where there is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, unsafe or unlawful conduct. Fees and refunds in such circumstances will be considered fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

18. Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Exhale is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or withheld information, failure to follow reasonable instructions, or use of a service outside the purpose explained by the practitioner.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes any statutory right or remedy available to a client.

19. Third party services

The booking page, payment tools, maps and links may be provided by third parties with their own terms and privacy practices. Exhale is responsible for choosing service providers with reasonable care but is not responsible for an interruption or failure outside its reasonable control. Exhale remains responsible for its own obligations concerning client information and service delivery.

20. Changes to these terms

Exhale may update these terms when its services, systems, pricing, policies or legal obligations change. The version applicable to a booking is the version presented or linked when the booking is made, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the client. The effective date will appear at the beginning of the document.

21. Complaints and disputes

Please raise any concern first with Alouise using the contact details above so that Exhale has a reasonable opportunity to respond. Exhale will consider complaints fairly and aim to resolve them promptly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing prevents a client from approaching a competent regulator, ombud, consumer body or court where entitled to do so.

22. General provisions

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure or delay in enforcing a right does not automatically waive that right. These terms, together with the applicable service description, Privacy Notice, package terms and signed consent documentation, form the agreement relating to the booking and service.
